ATLS®
The ATLS® program, developed by the American College of Surgeons (ACS) Committee on Trauma (COT) in 1980; offers a structured and concise approach to caring for trauma patients.
This program equips participants with a reliable method for promptly managing injured individuals. The curriculum focuses on assessing a patient's condition, providing resuscitation and stabilization, and determining if their needs surpass a facility's capacity. Additionally, it instructs on organizing inter-hospital transfers and ensuring optimal care throughout the entire process.
For those who do not frequently treat trauma patients, an ATLS® course offers a straightforward and memorable method for evaluating and treating such victims.
